1. What is the difference between an egg and a rock?

2. You wash up on a desert island: on the shore is a box. What is in the box? (It doesn't matter what the box is made of, how big it is, what beach you're on, etc: just answer.)

- - -

Doesn't sound like much, but you'd be surprised how differently people come at this. Try to answer both questions within ten-to-twenty seconds. There's no pressure, but the first thing that comes to your mind is the best definition of how your mind works.

Not convinced? Comment with your answers and I'll tell you about yourself.

MY ANSWERS:
1. An egg is an animal product that is or was (potentially) alive at some time. A rock is compacted sedimentary minerals that haven't been alive for centuries. Yes. That was seriously my thought process within ten seconds.
2. A knife.

MY RESULTS: I don't feel the need to define something's/someone's worth by inserting myself into the equation: I define people and objects by what they are and what they're capable of in their own right.  I may be concerned with scientific truth and practicality and preparation for the worst, but on the inside I pay constant attention to life and what it means to live.

Thanks to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. for the questions!

1) You can eat an egg, and it is easier to break. Also, rocks do not turn into living organic beings.

2) It's a piece of luggage that fell off of someone's boat. It is full of clothes which may or may not fit me, some toiletries, maybe a snack if I'm lucky. If the owner was the adventurous type, it may have a compass or something useful like that, but it's probably just some lady's trunk and most of it is clothes. At least I'll be warm.

I'm interested to see what you come up with for this! =D
